Scope and content: "This book is designed to introduce you to the different contemporary art forms in the Philippine regions. It follows the Department of Education's K-12 Senior High School Curriculum for Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions. The chapters are arranged in a developmental pattern to slowly introduce the students from the simplest to the most complex arts. The discussions are interdisciplinary, relating art to other subjects such as social studies, science, current events, and many others. The activities are varied and creative to stir up the imagination. Individual and group activities are also given to deepen the student's comprehension of the different art forms and to develop their appreciation of the art by experiencing it. However, the activities could be modified by the instructor to suit the needs of the class. "--
